Leeroy Coleman is the 3rd son of the late Manley D. Coleman (& Daphne Coleman) - who served the Adventist ch for over 60 yrs.
In his 40 plus yrs of ministry, Leeroy Coleman has ministered in the USA, Canada Michigan, Chicago, California and the Caribbean. With earned degrees of BA Theology & Counselling, MDiv. - Masters in Ministry & Family therapy, & DMin. - Doctor of Ministry. He served our church & communities as community activist, pastor, professor, mentor/ ministry trainer, conference leader, evangelist, chaplain trainer/mentor and national bereavement specialist for many organizations including Adventist Health Systems & AdventHealth. He has been adjunct professor of preaching & field school facilitator for Andrews Univ. Theological Seminary. He is the recipient of many awards from cities, counties, schools and church organizations for his effective leadership and activism.
Coleman is the author of Reasons to Hope - a daily devotional, Preaching from the Pew - A Layman’s Guide to Speaking, The Shepherd’s Voice (co-authored with his father), Ministry articles “Release, Revive & Receive”, “I have Seen Angels,” “and many articles on ministry, family & relationships. He is an international speaker who has presented keynote addresses for John Maxwell, Les Brown. Coleman has spoken at SDA leadership mts. & camp meetings, presenter at leadership & healthcare conferences, commencements, seminars in many parts of the world.
God has given him a wealth of experience in captivating audiences and impacting lives for the Kingdom of God. As Mission & Ministry leader for AdventHealth, he is Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) leader he has given training hospital leaders support and spiritual leadership coaching & led in many initiatives to support medical staff during COVID-19.
Coleman has personally experienced God’s power and intervention in his life: having speaking & learning disabilities in his early yrs. He shares hope and healing with the verbally and emotionally challenged. He sees the possibilities and seized opportunities to impact lives, train and disciple believers to minister for Jesus. He counts himself abundantly blessed to have Lorraine, his wife of 41yrs, and their three adult children - Chiblie, Casey & Caribe. His life gives evidence and praise for the promise: “God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or imagine!” Eph. 3:20
